How Cleaner Pay Works at Nest and Nurture Society

No percentages, no hidden cuts. Here is exactly how cleaners are paid on the Nest and Nurture Society system.

Most cleaning jobs in Melbourne are vague about money. Nest and Nurture Society is not. The pay model is simple: the cleaner is paid the job hourly rate minus a flat 20 dollars per hour.

The flat fee, not a percentage

Many agencies take a percentage of every job. Nest and Nurture Society keeps a flat 20 dollars per hour, full stop. The cleaner keeps the full upside.

The 50 dollar per hour minimum

  • Customer pays: 70 dollars per hour (at the minimum)
  • Business keeps: a flat 20 dollars per hour
  • Cleaner takes home: 50 dollars per hour, and more on premium jobs
The 50 dollar minimum is a floor under everyday work. Premium and same-day jobs sit well above it.

When you get paid

Every Wednesday. The customer pays before the job. Pay is released for system-complete jobs only: GPS check-in, before and after photos, and a Complete tap in the app.

What the cleaner never has to deal with

  • No percentage skimmed off larger jobs
  • No chasing customers for payment
  • No 30-day invoicing or late pay
  • No customer acquisition or marketing of their own
  • No guessing what the customer actually paid
