Watch First

Why Qualified Educators Are Choosing In-Home Work

You trained to care for children. Not to manage a room of eleven at the legal minimum ratio. Not to burn out on $29 per hour while the centre charges parents far more.

Nest & Nurture Little Ones connects qualified early childhood educators with families who want exactly what you were trained to provide -- one carer, their children, undivided attention.

We handle the client pipeline. You handle the care. Watch to see how the pay works.

The Direct Answer

What In-Home Childcare Jobs in Australia Actually Pay

A Cert III qualified educator in a childcare centre earns from $29.52 per hour under the Children\'s Services Award as restructured in March 2026. Through Nest & Nurture Little Ones, the same Cert III qualification earns $40 per hour for one child -- and rises by $20 per hour for every additional child in care.

We take a flat $15 per hour platform fee. The carer keeps everything else. There is no percentage cut, no hidden margin and no agency taking $30 of every hour you work. The platform fee covers client acquisition, matching, booking management and Wednesday pay. That is all it covers.

One child: $40/hr. Two children: $60/hr. Three children: $80/hr. Four children: $100/hr. The more children in the household, the more you earn -- and you keep the full $20 increase per child.

The minimum entry level. Covers child development, safe environments, play-based learning and age-appropriate care. The same qualification required for centre work -- but here it earns you $40/hr for one child, not $29.52.
