Apply to clean with usWhy Sydney pays more — and why most cleaners still see less
Sydney has some of the highest residential cleaning rates in Australia. Clients in the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and Northern Beaches pay premium prices because they want trust, consistency and a high standard. The market is there. The problem is the structure most cleaners work under.
A cleaning agency that takes a percentage of every job keeps more of the money as the job gets bigger. On a 400 dollar booking at a 30 percent cut, you see 280. On a 600 dollar same-day clean, you see 420. The agency wins every time the job gets bigger. Nest and Nurture Society keeps a flat 20 dollars per hour, full stop. On that same 600 dollar same-day clean, you keep 500.
What cleaners take home in Sydney
Flat 20 dollar per hour fee. The cleaner is paid the job rate minus that fee, and keeps the full upside on every higher-rate job.
These are minimums, not caps. Premium work in Sydney pushes take-home well above these figures.

The cleaning work in Sydney
Premium residential cleaning — Eastern Suburbs
Bondi, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Woollahra, Paddington and Edgecliff are some of the highest-value residential addresses in Australia. Clients in this zone pay for trust, consistency and a high standard. Premium maintenance cleaning, deep resets and postpartum support are the strongest work here, and the upside on every job goes to the cleaner.
Inner West recurring maintenance
Newtown, Glebe, Balmain, Rozelle and Leichhardt are densely populated with professional households and dual-income families who want a reliable weekly or fortnightly clean. Consistent, local, recurring work with low travel time between jobs.
Lower North Shore and Mosman premium homes
Mosman, Neutral Bay, Cremorne and Kirribilli have a high concentration of large family homes with owners who value presentation and reliability over price. Premium maintenance cleans and deep resets are the strongest work in this zone.
Northern Beaches short-stay and residential
Manly, Freshwater, Dee Why and Narrabeen have strong holiday and short-stay demand alongside established residential work. Short-stay cleaning is some of the best-paid work on the system.
Same-day and priority cleans across Sydney
Sydney has high demand for same-day and short-notice cleans — vacate cleans, pre-sale cleans and urgent residential resets. These jobs charge out at a premium rate and the full uplift goes to the cleaner because the fee stays flat at 20 dollars per hour regardless of the job rate.
How the pay system works
Every job on the Nest and Nurture Society system has a full booking price that the cleaner sees before accepting. We take a flat 20 dollars per hour. Everything else is the cleaner's. There are no percentage deductions, no hidden platform fees and no surprises at pay time.
