NDIS Ongoing Weekend Cleaning in Ballarat

NDIS support item code (for plan managers)

This is the household tasks code -- covering cleaning, laundry, cooking and meal prep, and general home maintenance, all under the one item, as distinct from personal care codes. We invoice at $60/hour under this item, so you or your plan manager can confirm funding is available before we lock in a standing time.

We're not yet able to take agency (NDIA) managed bookings.

This service is for ongoing clients only -- we don't offer one-off weekend cleans.

This helps us work out what fits in the time you book -- laundry, ironing and cooking help can all be included within your hours.

The weekday you choose becomes your standing day every visit.

Is this a one-off clean?

No -- this service is for ongoing clients only, weekly or fortnightly on the same day and start time. We don't offer one-off NDIS weekend cleans at this stage.

Who is this weekend cleaning service for?

NDIS participants in Ballarat and surrounds who are self-managed or plan-managed, and who want an ongoing (weekly or fortnightly) weekend clean. At this stage we cannot take agency-managed (NDIA-managed) bookings, since those go through the NDIA portal rather than a direct invoice.

Is this a confirmed booking?

Not yet -- it's an enquiry. Before we lock in any time, we check that your NDIS plan has funding available for this kind of support. Once that's confirmed, we lock in your preferred slot together.

Do I pay upfront?

No. There is no card payment when you make an enquiry. We check your funding is available, confirm the clean, carry it out, then invoice -- either you (self-managed, to claim back through your plan) or your plan manager (plan-managed) afterwards.

What does it cost, and is there a weekend surcharge?

It's $60 an hour -- the same rate as our weekday service. We don't charge a weekend loading, so your invoice reflects the standard rate whether the clean happens on a Saturday, Sunday or weekday.

Can laundry, ironing or cooking help be included?

Yes. Within the hours you book, we're happy to help with laundry, ironing or meal preparation alongside the clean -- just let us know how you'd like the time split when we discuss your needs.

Can I book longer than 2 hours?

Yes. Two hours is the minimum booking, but you can request up to 5 hours if that's what your home and support needs call for -- just choose the hours you need when you enquire.

Why weekends only, and why are spots limited?

This service currently runs on a limited, hands-on basis. There are three standing start times available each day, Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am, 1:00pm, 3:30pm. Because clients keep the same weekday and time every visit, once a start time is taken by an ongoing client it's generally gone for good, so it's worth enquiring early.

Leah, the owner of Nest and Nurture Society, carries out these cleans personally -- 15 years of experience cleaning homes in Ballarat, so you know exactly who is coming into your home. Leah also works with NDIS participants building pathways to employment and art career paths through Leah Justyce Art Gallery.
