A deep clean is not a bigger version of a regular clean. It is a different job, reaching places a maintenance visit never touches, and it is priced differently across the industry because of it.
What the industry charges for a deep clean
Airtasker’s pricing guide puts deep cleaning at $60 to $90 per hour, roughly double its $20 to $60 range for a regular clean, noting that deep cleans typically take extra time and can cost up to double standard house-cleaning prices -- its example is $280 to $650 for a 4-hour deep clean on a 3-bedroom home. Yellow Pages separately estimates $150 to $350 for a deep clean depending on home size, and a further $100 to $420 for a spring clean specifically. Maid For You puts the broader Australian average cleaner rate at $35 per hour, which the deep clean premium sits well above.
Why it is priced higher
A deep clean reaches the oven, rangehood, grout, skirting boards and window tracks -- everywhere a regular visit skips. It takes longer per job and demands more attention to detail, which is reflected in the hourly rate across the market, not just on NNS.
What Nest and Nurture Society cleaners take home
- Deep cleans: $70/hr minimum, consistent nationally
- Regular residential, for comparison: $55/hr minimum, nationally
- Flat $20/hr fee, never a percentage, paid every Wednesday
