How Do I Apply to Work as an In-Home Childcare Carer with Nest and Nurture Little Ones?

The application takes about 15 minutes if you have your documents ready. Here is exactly what happens, step by step.

Applying to work as an in-home carer through Nest and Nurture Little Ones is a single online application, not a multi-stage recruitment process. Here is exactly what it involves and what happens after you submit it.

Step 1: Gather your documents before you start

Having everything ready before you open the application makes it a 15-minute job instead of a stop-start one. You will need your qualification certificate (Cert III, Diploma or degree), current Working With Children Check, HLTAID012 first aid certificate, national police check, pertussis vaccination record, and the contact details of two referees who can verify your childcare experience.

Step 2: Complete the online application

The application form asks for your qualification level, years of experience, availability (days, hours and suburbs), and care preferences such as age groups and any specialisations. You upload your documents directly in the form.

Step 3: Verification

Every document is checked before your profile goes live. This includes confirming your qualification, checking your WWCC is current and valid for your state, verifying your police check and first aid certification, and contacting your referees.

Step 4: Profile goes live

Once verification is complete, your profile is visible to families searching by suburb, availability and qualification level. You do not need to do anything further at this point except wait for interview requests.

Step 5: Interviews and matching

A family who likes your profile sends an interview request. You meet online, ask your own questions, and decide whether it is the right match for you. There is no obligation to accept an interview or a booking.

How long does the whole process take?

We review every application and respond within 5 business days. If any document is missing, expired or unclear, we will contact you directly rather than simply rejecting the application.
