Not every specialty job is priced the same. A single bathroom reset and a full allergy reset both fall under "specialty cleaning," but they take very different amounts of time and attention -- and the pay reflects that.
Where specialty work sits on price
Airtasker’s pricing guide places deep and specialty cleaning at $60 to $90 per hour, against $20 to $60 for a regular clean. A single-room job like a bathroom or kitchen reset sits toward the lower end of that specialty range because it is contained to one space, while a whole-home allergy reset or pet home reset -- working through every wall, vent and surface in a property -- sits toward the top because of the extra time and ground covered.
What each reset actually involves
- Bathroom reset: shower and screen, full grout scrub, toilet detailed inside and out
- Kitchen reset: oven inside and out, rangehood and filter, stovetop, splashback and every cupboard
- Allergy reset: wall and skirting board wipe-down, vents and exhausts, every surface high and low
- Pet home reset: fur, dander and odour addressed throughout -- walls, skirting boards, upholstery and floors
- Rental inspection reset: a full property cleaned to the standard a property manager checks at final inspection
